Journey to Tamil Nadu in 2016

In 2016, during our next journey to India to learn about palm leaf libraries, we visited many interesting places. We travelled through the southern part of Tamil Nadu, in regions where rishis, especially Maharishi Agasthiya, lived thousands of years ago. Here we visited the waterfalls bearing his name and performed a ceremony of releasing palm leaves into the holy water.
We also visited the town of Vaitheesswarankoil. This pilgrimage place is considered the heart of palm leaf libraries in India. In a relatively small area, there are more than 100 private palm leaf libraries where people can request a reading of their destiny.
During our journey, we also visited the largest and most famous palm leaf library in the city of Tanjavur, called Saraswati Mahal Library. In addition to this main library, we also visited its branch in a place called Tiruvaduturai.
